What is the Estep-Doctor Portal Service?

The Estep-Doctor Portal Service is comprised of commercially sensitive and proprietary resources and applications, including, but not limited to, your financial information, tax returns, and other personally identifying information.

The Estep-Doctor Portal Service supports all Estep-Doctor business processes, including service delivery on internal and external documents and information. The Estep-Doctor Portal Service also provides a standard authentication and authorization system that controls access to the Portal.

Users of the Estep-Doctor Portal Service include Estep-Doctor employees and clients. Different users and user groups have different levels of access to the resources and applications contained in the Service. In general the Estep-Doctor Portal Service limits user access to only the content and services to which the user is entitled.  Each client user will be provided with a User Name and Password.  In the event the client user authorizes others to access their information through the portal, the client user does so at his/her own risk.

What personal data does the Estep-Doctor Portal Service hold about you?

This Estep-Doctor Portal Data Privacy Statement concerns itself with the following types of user data managed in the Estep-Doctor Portal Service:

        > User profile data, including user name, user ID, password, email address, work address, and work phone numbers

        > Tax returns

        > Personal financial records

        > Business financial records

        > Other personal and business records

Any further data you provide are at your discretion, though providing those data may be necessary for completion of work related tasks. You can submit as few or as many data into the Estep-Doctor Portal Service as you think necessary.

This Estep-Doctor Portal Data Privacy Statement is augmented or superseded by other data privacy statements, agreements, or policies which cover specific applications, portals, intranets, or databases contained in the Estep-Doctor Portal Service. Accepting this Estep-Doctor Portal Data Privacy Statement does not relieve you of the responsibility of reviewing and responding to separate data privacy agreements.

How will my user data be used?

The Estep-Doctor Portal Service uses your Estep-Doctor User ID and password and your user profile data to authenticate and authorize your access to the Service and to control access to its components.

How will my user data be protected?

The Estep-Doctor Portal Service resides on a secure portal server within the company firewall. Data replicates between the portal server and the document storage server, including user data. Different access levels are applied to data within the system to ensure data are visible only to appropriate users.
Technical and organizational security of the servers and the Estep-Doctor Portal Service is maintained in accordance with Estep-Doctor security policies. Only authorized system administrators support portal services.

Administrative access to your profile is restricted on a need-to-know basis and is only granted to:

        > System administrators

        > Support and administrative users (such as Help Desk personnel)

        > Security auditors

Only you and the system administrator have write access to your directory profile.

How long will my user data be held?

Generally, the Estep-Doctor Portal Service will retain your user data for only as long as is required to support your access to or use of the databases, intranet sites, knowledge repositories, and sites contained within the service. Standard Estep-Doctor termination processes include steps for decommissioning access to and removing personal data held in the Estep-Doctor Portal Service.

How will I be notified if the uses of my data change?

If the uses of your personal data in the Estep-Doctor Portal Service change, attempts will be made to notify you beforehand and (if the changes are significant) to seek your consent through screens such as this in the Estep-Doctor Pass login. You will be notified separately about uses of data in other systems covered by separate data privacy statements.
