Chet Stewart has practiced public accounting since the 1960s and is now semi-retired. He started his own CPA firm in 1982 which became Stewart, Peck, Hueston & Thomas before merging with Estep-Doctor & Company in 2022.

Chet works closely with clients and has performed audits, estate planning, business consultations, valuation services, and corporate and personal tax planning and preparation. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

 

Chet is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society. He has been involved in the Anderson community and the accounting profession by participating on various boards including: St. Vincent Health System, St. John's Hospital (now known as Ascension St. Vincent - Anderson), Anderson Corporation for Economic Development, INCPAS Board of Directors, the Christian Center, Junior Achievement, Anderson Country Club, Indiana State Board of Public Accountancy, and Christ Lutheran Church.

Chet and his wife have been married for over 60 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. He enjoys traveling to the Carolinas and out west with family, along with reading and working with his church family while in the area.
