Joey O'Connor joined Estep-Doctor & Company in 2011. He specializes in the fields of tax planning and audit services, with a focus on getting to know his clients and helping bring solutions to the challenges they face. He also provides accounting and consulting services to individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Joey took a brief hiatus from the firm to accept a Controller role with a large construction company. In so doing, he oversaw accounting operations for twelve offices in five different states, providing him a deep understanding of the construction, transportation and real estate sectors which he has brought back to the firm upon rejoining in 2020.

 

Joey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. He was awarded the Emerging Leaders Award from the Indiana CPA Society in 2017 for his professionalism and vision.

He is currently serving as Treasurer of the Delaware County Sports Heritage Foundation. He also spends time helping at the YMCA of Muncie where his wife works as Executive Director.

 

Born and raised in Delaware County, Joey and his wife, Megan, reside in Yorktown. They have one child, Brody, and a golden retriever named Lincoln. In his spare time, Joey enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and following basketball.
